Julie Penelton, B.Sc. (Pharm)
Ryan is a co-owner and pharmacy manager at Assiniboine Pharmacy. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2001, and has spent his entire career working in community pharmacies, the last 13 of which were in the St. James / Westwood area of Winnipeg. Ryan loves to travel, and to talk about travelling - this has led him to obtain a Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. Ryan is also a panel member with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, the licensing body for new pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Canada. Ryan is a certified fitter of compression garments.
Julie is an experienced pharmacist who has built lasting relationships with patients over the course of her 30+ year career. She graduated from the Univerisity of Manitoba in 1985 and has worked in the St. James / Westwood area of Winnipeg ever since. Julie is emotionally invested in her patients and is known to share a hug, a laugh or even a tear with her patients. She is currently expanding her knowledge base by working on becoming a Certified Diabetic Educator, as well as learning how to fit patients for compression garments.

Kris is a co-owner and pharmacist at Assiniboine Pharmacy. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Manitoba in 2001. With having over 19 years of professional experience as a retail staff pharmacist, retail pharmacy manager, long-term care pharmacy manager, pharmacy business owner and consultant pharmacist in long-term care, Kris has gained a broad range of clinical knowledge in varying capacities in the pharmaceutical field. His keen interest in finding the most effective and efficient ways to support residents in long-term care prompted Kris to obtain his Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy in 2010. He always strives to achieve and maintain high standards of quality pharmacy services with patient care being his number one priority.
